Rules for RSS

One can create a big machine which accepts all RSS sources. What is the effect? Clutter, mess, too much of data.

So you have to keep your source list clean.

It can be applied to many other sources like youtube, tiktok, subscriptions, etc.

In this scenario there is no magic “algirhtm” that selects something for you to watch. In RSS you are “the algorithm”.

  • Do not add spammy feeds (at least be careful)

  • Do not add feeds that waste your time (watchmojo), focus on things that will improve you, add some more insight, or knowledge

  • Do not look for “what is fun”, but rather “what will you read/watch”, but…

  • Comedy, or entertainment is sometimes needed, or even required

  • Avoid getting too deep into politics. Brief knowledge of it is useful

  • If you stop using reader think about it. Are there too many sources? or have you added too many ‘interesting sources’, but which you never actually watch?

  • Sometimes added more controversial sources, the result often was a mess. Just add quality sources to reduce noise
